Télam. National News Agency of Argentina. June 25, 2010. The Argentine squad midfielder Maximiliano Rodríguez warned today that before Mexico, next Sunday's rival in the remaining sixteen at 2010 South Africa World Cup, it will be a different chapter from that which took place in the last World Cup when he scored a goal.
"I have many lovely memories but that is history. The important thing is for the team to win and continue moving forward", said Maxi Rodríguez at a press conference.
England's Liverpool player explained that "we first need to wait for Diego (Maradona) to decide on the final team”, so it "remains to be seen if I shall play".
”All national teams are the same, we play face to face, heart and soul against every opponent. We need to get there in the best possible way, to pay attention and be prepared”, he added. As regards the next stage at the World Cup, Rodríguez remarked that "it is not possible to make any mistake now, we need to focus on what the team can do and not on the rival, we need to continue doing this as well as we have so far”.
As did his team mates, he remarked on the union and the good relationship in the group “which is happy. It is a great team which has been shaping up for a long time and it is in this way that we can work to our best".
